Each year we hold the SCALA Interview and Resume Workshop, which covers topics such as job seeking, resumes, cover letters and interviews.  Recordings are available via our YouTube Channel for the past several workshops.

Does your library have a job opening?  Please spread the word to other students via our Facebook Group!

Kanlib-l – The Kansas Library Forum deals with all issues of interest to Kansas librarians. Discussion includes job and meeting announcements, Internet resources, the Kansas Library Catalog, online and local databases, and more.

CO Library Jobline – a free job list service for employers and job seekers in multiple states, including Colorado.  Many large library districts in the Denver metro area utilize this service, including Denver Public Library, Douglas and Jefferson County Public Libraries.

Slimjobs – an email discussion list where students, faculty, and others can posts job announcements.

ALA Joblist – a job list created by the American Library Association.

INALJ (I Need a Library Job) – a job list for librarians in all fields.

Resume, Cover Letter, and Interview Resources

Open Cover Letters – browse cover letters that successfully landed librarians and archivists their jobs.

Library Career People – resources for those at any stage in their library career

Mr. Library Dude – resources for nailing the library interview, common pitfalls and even more resources for finding the right spot for you in the library field
