Here are a few things you’ll want to know, even if you’re familiar with Lawrence and the University of Kansas’ campus:

Visitor parking at the University of Kansas during the day costs $1.00/hour.  To be safe, I suggest paying for three hours (even though I don’t expect the tour to last that long).  There are change machines where you pay to park.  For your convenience sake, it would be a good idea to bring some small bills and/or quarters.  Park in the Mississippi Parking garage next to the Kansas Union — it’s the easiest walk to Watson Library.  We’ll meet at 1:50pm right inside the doors of Watson Library, in the main lobby.  Our tour begins in the Stannard Preservation Lab, on the lowest level of Watson Library, at 2:00pm.

Below are driving directions to the Mississippi Parking garage, followed by walking directions from the Garage to Watson Library.

Walking directions From Mississippi Parking Garage to Watson Library

  1. Pay for your parking.
